General information
The practice is open Monday to Friday, and will be closed on Saturday and Sunday.
All consultations are by appointment. You can arrange this by either visiting reception or telephoning 01334-653478 between 8.30am until 5.30pm. If you would like to see a particular GP, please tell the receptionist when you are booking the appointment; please bear in mind that you may have to wait longer for this.
We also offer telephone consultation slots, where a GP or Practice Nurse will phone you to discuss your problem and agree the best way we can help.
A GP is available between 8.00am and 6.00pm for urgent matters. If you think you need to be seen urgently, you will initially be triaged by our Practice Nurse to assess your need and ensure that appointments can be given to those who really need to be seen.
Patients not seen within the last three years may ask for a consultation with a GP. Patients aged 75 and over who have not been seen by a GP within the last twelve months may ask for a consultation.
Out of Hours cover
NHS 24 provide out of hours cover between 6.00pm and 8.00am, Monday to Friday, during Saturday and Sunday and at any other time the practice may be closed. To obtain medical advice you must call NHS 24; this can be done in several ways:
- By telephoning the practice on 01334-653478, the call will be re-directed to NHS 24
- By calling NHS 24 directly on 08454-242424
- By using the NHS 24 website, www.nhs24.com
Did not attend (DNA) policy
If you do not turn up for three consecutive appointments, without cancelling these, then the practice will inform you of this in writing. This is considered inappropriate as a failure to cancel your appointment has a direct impact on the service available to our other patients. If you continue to DNA you may be requested to register with another practice.
